Trelawny & Co brings a slice of island soul to Hamstead.

Intimate yet vibrant, it pairs the warmth of a neighbourhood spot with the poise of fine dining. Traditional Caribbean cookery meets contemporary technique, yielding plates that are bright with spice, deep with slow-cooked richness. The ambience is calm and welcoming, inviting guests to linger as aromas of jerk smoke and simmering stews drift from the kitchen.

The menu tells a generous story. A Caribbean lunch of jerk chicken crackles beside curried mutton and oxtail and beans, while cornmeal porridge and mutton soup nod to homestyle roots. Can't forget jerk pasta with or without meat, and maybe even a jerk burger too!

Plant-based diners are well served with jerk tofu or ackee and tofu. To finish, think corn flake cake, fudge cake, and perhaps a carrot cake for good measure.

Whether it is a jerk chicken burger between friends or a lingering dinner for two, Trelawny and Co offers the flavours of the Caribbean without leaving Birmingham. Set the date, book the table, and follow the spice.
