A Jewellery Quarter stalwart reborn, The Lord Clifden has welcomed Birmingham for more than 160 years and reopened in February 2026 with polish and purpose. Named for a celebrated nineteenth‑century racehorse, this Victorian pub marries original character with a fresh, modern pulse. The result is a neighbourhood hub where regulars rub shoulders with first-timers, and the chatter carries from snug corners to a hidden beer garden when the weather obliges. At its heart is a kitchen enamoured with bold Indian flavours. Sizzling mixed grills set the tone, from the regular mixed grill to the generous Lord Clifden Special Sharing Grill, while curry classics – think chicken curry or lamb curry – brim with warmth and spice. Clay‑oven favourites such as chicken tikka and lamb seekh kebab meet fragrant biryanis, easygoing wraps, and pub‑friendly bites like masala chips and poppadoms with chutneys, before a sweet landing with gulab jamun or mango kulfi.
