Blink and you’ll miss it! Just off Holland Park Avenue is this petite restaurant that delivers a unique dining experience with incredible attention to detail. Where you’re made to feel like the only diner in the room and dishes are akin to works of art, Six Portland Road is one for the perfectionists!

A capacity of 36 makes for a wonderfully intimate lunch or supper. Dine among some of the trendiest foodies in London as you take your seat at any of their bistro-style tables, complete with sparklingly white tablecloths. And though it may be small, privacy can be found in the low hum of chatter and the aura of calm that pervades this space.

Their ever-changing menus always have people coming back time and again for new creations and modern gastronomy. For a taste of what’s to come, this week showcases seafood in all its glory. Smoked mackerel, halibut and sea trout fly the ocean flag… but that’s not all!

With just one meat dish, a perfectly cooked sirloin steak, the emphasis here is on humble ingredients that feed everyone. Vegetarians may indulge in the likes of ricotta ravioli and rainbow chard before embarking on a delicate chocolate mousse or a heartier tarte Tatin. Bistro favourites are given a contemporary makeover at this joint!
