Sagar Hammersmith brings the soulful comfort of South India to the neighbourhood with a warm, inviting spirit.

Rooted in the Udupi tradition, the kitchen leans into time-honoured recipes and balanced spicing, offering a thoughtful, fully vegetarian menu with abundant choices for those who prefer plant-based fare. It's a family-friendly spot where hospitality is as generous as the servings.

To begin, paneer 65 or gobi Manchurian offers a livelier start, while street-side sparkle arrives via Bombay Chowpatty specials like pani puri and bhel puri. Fluffy idli with sambar and coconut chutney whispers of coastal kitchens.

Dosa fans will find delight in a classic masala dosa or the bolder Mysore dosa, with tomato or coconut uthappam adding a soft, savoury counterpoint.

Thalis remain the quiet showstoppers - a South Indian thali or vegan thali unfolds as a rich procession of lentils, vegetables and rice, punctuated by crisp pappadam and a sweet finish.

There's pleasure in the small bowls too: a peppery rasam, soothing dal and the homely embrace of chana masala.

True to its ethos, Sagar encourages gentle customisation to suit individual tastes, making each visit personal. Settle in, share a thali, and let the spices do the talking - Hammersmith's never sounded so delicious!
