dinner

Kada brings the bright, bold soul of Filipino cooking to Bethnal Green, serving up a spectrum of tang, smoke and savoury depth. Classic soups set the tone: Sinigang arrives with that unmistakable tamarind tartness, while Papa I Tan leans into comforting richness from tripe, beef and liver, both signalling a kitchen in love with contrast and balance.

From there, the favourites speak for themselves. Kare Kare, whether beef or tofu with oxtail, comes bathed in peanut sauce and vegetables, lush and nutty, while Sizzling Sisig crackles to the table, lifted with citrus, onions and spice. It is food made for gathering and sharing: lumpia to dip and crunch, chicken skin nachos and loaded tocino fries to pass around, and rice playing its faithful, soak-it-all-up role. A roster of sauces from bagoong and Mang Tomas to suka and smoky BBQ, nudges each bite in a new direction.

On Thursdays through Sundays, the grill takes centre stage with barbecue skewers: pork belly and intestine for those who love it big on flavour, and halal chicken options from heart and thigh to chicken feet and inasal. Sweet finishes keep things playful, with Halo Halo and Ube Ice Cream offering colourful cool-downs. Book in, bring an appetite, and let the sizzle, sour and sweet of Kada do the talking.
