Paper Tiger

This mother–daughter run dim sum cocktail bar is based in the heart of Mare Street. The authentic flavours are down to generations-old family recipes that head chef, Lily, grew up making and eating in Beijing.

Guests can enjoy handcrafted dim sum and small plates, such as dumplings, smashed cucumber salad, Sichuan bang bang chicken, and xiao mantou (steamed then fried buns dipped in sweet condensed milk).

Traditional food is paired with Chinese-inspired cocktails and draft beer (Including Guinness!). They also have a large non-alcoholic menu including de-alcoholised wine, 'Three Spirits' (botanical elixirs designed to give you a buzz), and High & Dry (alcohol free lager with functional mushrooms).

With family being at the heart of everything they do, it really feels like stepping into someone's well loved home.
