Nestled beneath the soaring spire of a beautifully restored Grade II-listed church in Gateshead, Café Under The Spire offers a truly distinctive dining experience.

At lunchtime, the offerings shift to comfort classics such as toasties, including the popular triple cheese and onion, roast meat rolls, cheesy or vegan-cheesy chips, and salads like the autumn kale salad or spire lamb salad.

The evening menu features hearty dishes including burgers (with vegan options), a selection of roast chicken preparations served with twice-cooked chips, and rustic 8-inch pizzas where diners can pick their own toppings. On Sundays between 12 pm and 4 pm, the café serves a full Sunday lunch with choices such as roast lamb, beef, chicken, pork, or a vegan nut roast.
