Whilst we in Britain smack our lips as a sign of culinary appreciation, over in India they pat their stomachs and murmur the words 'wah ji wah'. It's the verbal equivalent of a huge round of applause.
How appropriate, then, that this sparkling Indian eatery is named after the highest of compliments. Wah Ji Wah has worked hard to earn their name, using only the highest quality ingredients that Head Chef Manish Mahipal prepares using traditional cooking methods to achieve the most ground-breaking flavours. Such food deserves a majestic setting and Wah Ji Wah has created just that, blending luxury materials with subtle light displays, a modern approach to décor and an upmarket feel that only gets better as the evening moves on.
So, whether you're looking for authentic street food, a vegan supper or a hearty curry, Wah Ji Wah will get those treasured words out of you some time or another. Kick off proceedings with a Punjabi samosa chaat or palak bhaji, both of which serve as tasty starters to warm up your appetite. Vegans have their own menu to choose from that boasts vegan chicken and tikki ki chaat for starters.
Main course is when the curries come out in full force, offering beloved creations such as lamb bhuna, Goan fish curry, chicken jalfrezi and a black bean dal. Any vegans can feast on a soya Punjabi masala, saag aloo or many others; they have just as much choice as non-vegans! And with Indian ice cream and milk dumplings on schedule for dessert, the final 'wah ji wah' escapes your lips involuntarily.
