MNKY HSE brings a bold, globe-trotting sensibility to Manchester City Centre, where Latin American verve meets Japanese precision and a hint of contemporary grill-house drama. The menu is designed as a progression, inviting diners to begin with bites such as chicken wings glazed in smoked chilli sauce or prawn tempura with kimchi mayo, before shifting to the cool clarity of the raw bar.
Here, yellowtail sashimi arrives in a citrus-bright gazpacho ponzu, while beef tataki lends depth with fillet steak, onion and truffle. Sushi stays playful and polished, from a dragon roll layered with prawn, avocado and unagi to spicy tuna dressed with kimchi sauce and chives. Tacos take a turn through the Americas: chicken tinga with guac, coriander, sour cream and pomegranate, and truffle wagyu presented as sirloin with pickled red onion.
Larger plates encourage lingering. Lamb cutlets find lift with sweet potato and chimichurri. From the sea, grilled lobster is flambéed with herb butter, while grilled octopus pairs with crispy sweet potato and red chilli jam. Salads keep things bright, from a beef salad with roasted onion and spicy sauce to a summer salad of green leaves, avocado and cucumber.
In the heart of the city, this is dining made for sharing, sipping and staying a while. Book in, bring an appetite for adventure, and swing by MNKY HSE for a little tasteful mischief.
