dinner

In Kensal Rise, Polanco Mexican Restaurant brings a warm, relaxed taste of Mexico to West London. Traditional recipes meet street food favourites, all cooked with genuine techniques and quality ingredients. The atmosphere is friendly and unpretentious, made for meals that unfold at an easy pace.

From a bowl of guacamole beside crisp tortilla chips to seabass and prawn ceviche aguachile brightened by cucumber and lime, flavours are clean, zesty and generous. Enchiladas roll up comfort under tomatillo salsa verde, while a quesadilla rustica brings toasty indulgence. Tacos arrive in pairs: baja fish with pickled cabbage, chipotle mayo and habanero sauce, or beef birria crowned with crispy mozzarella and pickled chilies. Among the specials, seabass contramar nods to coastal cooking, and sides like esquites with mayo, feta and parmesan add street-corner charm.

The bar keeps things classic: a classic Margarita hits the spot, a Paloma sparkles with grapefruit and lime, and there are beers, micheladas, Sauvignon Blanc and Rioja alongside tequila and mezcal. It is an inviting set-up for catch-ups, date nights and unhurried evenings.

Book a table and let the fiesta begin, one bite and one sip at a time.
