Tucked just off Mercer Street, Le Bab is putting a contemporary spin on Middle Eastern kapsalon.
Shaking up Covent Garden with their inventive approach to kebabs, this modern eatery is a winner from start to finish with vibrant salad bowls and flavour-packed wraps. Counter seating lets you watch charcoal-fired meats being carved before your eyes, making every visit a new experience.
The food is the real star of the show, and their small plates are far from your average lamb doner. Try the crispy, free-range fried chicken with sticky date and garlic house-made mayo, or the silky hummus topped with flat iron steak and chimichurri.
Always thinking outside the box, the team at Le Bab take the humble kebab to a whole new level. The sirloin steak kebab is loaded with charcoal-grilled steak, pickled onions and cucumber, crispy onions, and a generous drizzle of fondue sauce. After something with a kick? Go for the spiced lamb, glazed with lamb jus, chimichurri, double-fried fries, and, of course, that signature fondue. Or, for pure comfort, the butter chicken kebab hits all the right notes with yoghurt and a garlic butter naan.
With this kind of culinary creativity, it’s no surprise they scooped Best Newcomer at the British Kebab Awards.
