In the heart of Liverpool’s city centre, North Sixty4 takes a bow inside the iconic Hard Days Night Hotel, its name tipping its hat to North John Street and the Beatles’ When I’m Sixty-Four. The dining room blends contemporary glamour with welcoming charm: rich fixtures, warm lighting and characterful touches set a smart-casual tone for relaxed lunches, pre-theatre suppers and celebratory dinners. Attentive service and a varied drinks list round out the scene.

The kitchen celebrates British staples and global favourites with a fresh, seasonal twist, drawing on locally sourced ingredients. An opening flourish might bring cured tuna with potato rösti and fermented chilli, or a comforting cauliflower and apple soup with a delicate beignet. Classics like fish and chips and grill favourites meet modern plates such as market steak with chimichurri and a slow-fried duck egg, or king prawn and monkfish tandoori with flatbread, tzatziki and braised rice.

To close, expect the sweet nostalgia of apricot toffee pudding or the playful rusticity of broken apple cheesecake, and, by day, an indulgent afternoon tea for lingering catch-ups. With broad appeal and a poised yet easygoing atmosphere, North Sixty4 is as fitting for casual dining as for special occasions. Take a seat, raise a glass, and let the good times play on.
