Housed within the beautifully restored former Mersey Ferry MV Royal Daffodil, this floating restaurant pairs heritage with modern luxury, unfurling panoramic river views from its elegant main-deck dining room and across multiple levels. Opened in December 2024 after a multimillion-pound refurbishment, it has swiftly emerged as a standout on the waterfront.

The kitchen charts a contemporary British course with a confident, coastal accent. Starters nod to classic technique and briny freshness: think Beef Carpaccio with indulgent XO sauce, Thai basil crema and bitter leaves, or a Lamb Belly Rarebit Skewer, layers of rich sauce with lamb belly, leek emulsion, and pickled leeks.

Mains carry warmth and polish, from pressed Beef Short Rib in bourguignon sauce with aligot mash to Lobster & Scallop Chitarra, its bisque lifted by kashmiri chilli and sea herbs.

From the grill, Surf and Turf feels suitably seafaring with butter-poached lobster tail and café de Paris butter, while the Daffodil Deluxe Burger, cushioned in potato brioche with guanciale and truffle mayo, makes a decadent port of call. Glossy sticky toffee pudding or Rhubarb and Custard Tart bring a tidy finish.
