So Salsa on Bold Street brings the spirit of sharing to one of Liverpool’s liveliest streets.

Born as a family venture in Crosby in 2010, it has grown into a city favourite without losing its warm, personal touch. The name tips its hat to Spain, but the kitchen wanders further afield, weaving Latin heat, Asian brightness, and Mediterranean ease into a tapas style made for passing plates and easy conversation.

The cooking is confident yet simple, with fresh ingredients doing the talking. Hummus with warm flatbread sets the tempo, baby red peppers stuffed with feta cheese bring some comfort, and toasted ciabatta with garlic mayo and chopped tomatoes brings the vibrance.

Continuing the dance, share a plate of gambas pil pil that shimmer in olive oil with lime, chilli, coriander, and garlic, or pan-seared scallops that come with pea purée, crispy pancetta, and chive oil. Elsewhere, buttermilk chicken bites are glazed with honey and sriracha, and bang bang cauliflower and halloumi fingers bring a playful crunch.

Ready to share? Make a date, gather your favourites, and let the small plates do the talking, a little salsa goes a long way.
