The Old Market Assembly

The Old Market Assembly is one of those venues that has it all. What is also a welcoming stage for up-and-coming musicians and artists is also a brilliant restaurant that is designed with the people and planet in mind.

Housed in a historical building in the city centre, The Old Market Assembly building evokes all the romanticism of the Jane Austen era; you can just imagine a 19th-century society ball happening right within these four walls. Today, it serves beautifully as an entertainment venue, offering guests multiple perspectives from the balconies and at floor level. You'll also find dining tables tucked away from the main action if you fancy something more lowkey, but there are always tables in the hubbub for a great evening out!

Mondays and Tuesdays they're keeping it simple with hand-stretched pizzas that are topped with our favourite classic combinations including Serrano ham, roasted aubergines, streaky bacon, Cornish anchovies and house-made marinara sauce.

And Wednesday - Saturday indulge on their sharing plates including delectible pork belly skewers and tempura hake with a confit garlic alioli (as if alioli couldn't get any better as it is!) and a gorgeous selection of tapas plates that hunker down with bold Spanish flavours, be that some crispy patatas bravas, spicy baked eggs or Wye Vally asparagus done a la Español. So come and assemble at what is one of the most exciting destinations in the whole of Bristol.
