Back Garden Pizzeria

Back Garden Pizzeria has found its new home in Bristol’s Old City, just a stone’s throw from St Nick’s Market. What began in 2020 with chef Danny cooking pizzas in his back garden during lockdown has grown into a city-wide delivery service, an award-winning festival favourite, and now a permanent restaurant. The space brings together Sardinian flavour, Bristol creativity and independent spirit.

The menu is built on fresh local and Italian ingredients, with Sardinian twists on pizza that make it stand out. Semolina-enriched sourdough gives extra crunch, while toppings include family recipes such as fresh and cured fennel sausage, fiery ’Nduja salami, and seasonal specials. There are also plenty of vegan and gluten-free options, ensuring something for everyone.

Starters and sides feature rocket salad with pear, walnut and Gran Albiero cheese, or a generous antipasti plate with meats, cheeses, olives and pickled vegetables. Crusts pair perfectly with dips like garlic aioli, truffle aioli and hot honey infused with chilli, Calabrian peppers and smoky chipotle. To finish, indulgences include a secret family recipe tiramisu or sweet hazelnut gelato.
