In Kingswood, Athugala Ceylon brings the soul of Sri Lanka to the neighbourhood.

Born from a passion to share the island’s culinary heritage, it celebrates aromatic spice cupboards and age-worn recipes in equal measure. Fragrant currents of cinnamon, clove and curry leaves set the scene, while the team’s warm welcome channels the generosity of Sri Lankan hospitality. It is a place made for lingering conversations, where stories are plated with care and tradition hums in the background.

The cooking leans into bold, sun-lit flavours and playful textures. Crisp, moreish cutlets and golden dhal wade nod to street-corner snacking, while the clatter and rhythm of kottu evoke a Colombo night.

Bowls of rice and curry arrive with basmati and a runny fried egg, ready to mingle with tangy pol sambol and the snap of papadam. It is food that balances heat with brightness, softness with crunch, and comfort with a spark of adventure.

Friends and families settle in, laughter rising as plates are shared and seconds negotiated. Guests are invited to set their compass for Kingswood and let Athugala Ceylon lead them on a flavour-swept journey.
