On the cusp of Bitterne’s riverside rambles, The Riverside Bistro pairs beautiful aesthetics with breakfast that starts your day right.

The bistro is a local meeting point for the neighbourhood, a breezy stop after a stroll by the water or a cosy perch for breakfast, or even brunch. The team pours great coffee and keeps the mood bright with healthy breakfast and brunch plates with comforting staples.

Everything leans sunlit and fresh: the fiesta brunch layers poached egg, guacamole and sourdough with bright salsa and grilled mushrooms, while the miners benedict pairs the classic poached egg, breakfast muffin and hollandaise sauce with rocket and black pudding.

Let the Riverside all day plate set your day up for success with a complete spread of eggs, bacon, chipolata sausages and hash. Or, for a healthy kickstart, the champion porridge brings a bowl of oats, bananas, mixed berries, chia seeds, and peanut butter and honey.

Whether you wander in from the water or gather the gang, mornings are best spent Riverside.
