The Lamb Tavern

Set in the heart of picturesque Buckland, Oxfordshire, The Lamb Tavern is every inch the quintessential country pub. Independently run and proudly local, it moves with ease from a casual pint and suet crust pie at the bar to the polish of a relaxed three-course dinner. The team champions homemade cooking and local produce, serving familiar comforts with care and flair.

In the kitchen, British pub traditions meet fresh, modern touches. You'll find starters like crispy fried squid with stewed cherry tomatoes, garlic butter and aioli, followed by mains such as slow-roasted pork belly with fondant potato and chorizo tomato jus, or a salmon fillet paired with mushroom lentils and salsa verde.

If you're after pub classics, there's the beef burger stacked with streaky bacon and smoked cheddar, alongside pan-roasted sirloin served with thick-cut chips and garlic and parmesan courgettes.

A warm, vibrant atmosphere makes it easy to settle in with friends and family. The spacious garden invites lazy afternoons outdoors, while dedicated function rooms cater to private gatherings and celebrations.

Whether you're stopping by for lunch or staying for the evening, it's country hospitality done properly - pull up a chair and tuck in!
