Wallop brings the brand’s spirited social energy to the heart of Prestwich, favouring relaxed brunches and lingering Sunday roasts.

Wallop is an easy-going neighbourhood spot where the welcome is warm, the pace unhurried, and the conversation carries. Whether it is a catch-up with friends or a laid-back date, this is hospitality designed for simple pleasures done well.

In the kitchen, familiar comforts meet playful twists. Think crisp fish and chips with proper trimmings, or the Wallop burger, a chuck, brisket and rib patty layered with cheese, burger sauce and hot maple pickles.

Handhelds wander from a salmon bagel with herb and pepper labneh and cucumber to a Philly cheese steak dripping with cheese sauce, rocket and a lick of sriracha. Craving crunch? The fried chicken basket arrives golden and proud, ready to be tossed in Buffalo, Whiskey BBQ or Cola BBQ.

Lighter moments are well covered too, from a Caesar salad punctuated with chili jam croutons and a poached egg, to a house salad piled with tomato, cucumber, avocado, hummus, rocket and cos. Sides play to nostalgia: mac and cheese crowned with broccoli and crispy onions, and fries made for dipping into garlic butter or Whiskey BBQ. It is food built for sharing, lingering and pairing with good drinks and better company.

Book in, settle back, and let Wallop do the heavy lifting; all that is left is to tuck in and give it a proper wallop.
