On Bury New Road in Prestwich, Rawas distils the bylanes of India into a modern, Mancunian moment. It’s a celebration of bold, playful flavour - the bustle of Mumbai’s street food, the tang of tamarind on the tongue, and the smoke of the tandoor drifting through a room alive with conversation.

Street favourites lead the way. You can enjoy vada pav at its most comforting, crackling pani puri, and messy, moreish samosa chaat. The tandoor brings depth to dishes like mushroom tikka and paneer grilled with spice, while the Indo-Chinese kitchen turns up the heat with Gobi Manchurian and chilli garlic mushroom. From the coast come Amritsari fish and salmon tikka, bright with spice and char.

Hearty plates follow, including chicken jalfrezi with swagger, silky chicken korma, methi lamb and lamb kadai layered with warmth and depth. Seafood lovers'll find Goan prawn curry and Mangalorean fish curry, while fragrant biryanis, basmati rice and tear-and-share naans round things off beautifully.

The mood’s friendly, the flavours bold, and the welcome’s as generous as the sharing platters. Gather friends, bring an appetite, and let the streets of India unfold in Prestwich. Book a table, settle in, and let the chaat do the chat!
