Southall Spice draws a vivid line through the subcontinent’s cookery, balancing smoky tandoor traditions with the punch and sparkle of street-side favourites. A nod to Indo-Chinese flavours sets the tone: chilli paneer and gobi Manchurian bring crisp textures and lively heat, the kind that lingers politely and invites another bite.

From the grill, there is the satisfying char and tenderness of tandoori chicken and malai tikka, each perfumed with spice and marinated to the core. Seafood follows suit with grilled fish tikka and prawn masala tikka, delivering coastal brightness against the warmth of the coals. Chaats such as papri chaat and samosa chaat deliver crunch, tang and sweetness in quick, joyful succession.

Comfort is the watchword at the heart of the menu. Butter chicken arrives plush and aromatic, while palak gosht layers savoury depth with spinach. Fragrant basmati anchors chicken biryani and lamb biryani, and weekend specials like saag with makai roti lean into slow-cooked richness. Fresh counterpoints appear in tabbouleh and a tandoori chicken salad, keeping things light where it counts.

The mood is convivial and generous, a place where sharing plates sparks conversation and the air carries a promise of spice and smoke. Settle in for a lingering supper or a swift feast, book ahead, and let Southall Spice do exactly what its name suggests. Go on, curry favour with flavour.
