dinner

In Deptford, Buster Mantis serves up bold, sunlit flavours with a warm, contemporary edge. The kitchen takes Caribbean cues and filters them through a modern lens, favouring smoke, spice and sweetness in balanced, comforting plates that feel both fresh and familiar.

Starters set the pace with a play of textures and temperatures: spicy cauliflower wings cooled by ranch, alongside pumpkin and blue cheese arancini folded with callaloo and a whisper of parmesan - a clever meeting of Italian technique and island greens.

From there, the menu leans into soulful mains. A sweet potato and okra curry ladled over white rice is silky and aromatic, while a jerk chicken quarter brings its signature char and warmth, served with a crisp slaw and your choice of chips or rice and peas.

Desserts keep the rhythm going. A chocolate and orange torte brings deep cocoa and citrus with a crunch of honeycomb and salted caramel ice cream, while a mango cheesecake topped with matching sorbet offers a bright, tropical finish.

This is food designed for unhurried eating and good company, the sort that nourishes as much as it delights. Join them for dinner and let the spices do the talking - just bring an appetite and a curious palate, and Buster Mantis will bring the sunshine!
