A hidden gem in Deptford, Alla Salute! brings the warmth and easy charm of a neighbourhood trattoria to South East London. The artisan pizza sets the rhythm, with handmade pasta and regional dishes inspired by family recipes adding depth and heart. It is a social space at its core, where conversation hums, plates are shared and every guest is welcomed like family.

A focus on fresh, seasonal ingredients keeps flavours bright and true. Think a perfectly blistered margherita, a slow-cooked ragu tossed through fresh orecchiette and an antipasto platter made for lingering with friends. Earlier in the day, there are comforting picks such as scrambled eggs on toast or The Itanglish Breakfast, while lunchtime might bring a caprese panini, risotto and daily pasta specials or sirloin beef steak tagliata.

Artisan pizzas arrive smoky and airy: marinara and margherita for purists or 4 Formaggi for a rich, indulgent melt. On the side, crocchette and roast potatoes offer simple pleasure; to finish, a classic Tiramisu or Tortino al Cioccolato keeps things classically dolce.

Drop in for a casual bite, settle in with drinks and small plates, or gather for a full Italian spread, this is Deptford’s invitation to slow down and savour. Ready to raise a toast to good food and good company? Take a seat and say, Alla Salute!
