Sitting snug in North West London, Sagar Harrow celebrates the soul of South Indian vegetarian cooking with a calm confidence.

It's family-friendly and quietly proud of its time-honoured recipes, from crisp-edged dosas to bountiful thalis, all prepared with a focus on quality and authenticity. The result is food that feels wholesome and heartfelt, with spice, tang and comfort in equal measure.

Starters set an inviting rhythm: idli arrives cloud-soft with sambar and coconut chutney, while the classic samosa brings familiar crunch.

For something more substantial, thalis steal the limelight, offering a gentle tour of textures and tastes. The South Indian thali glides from lentils to vegetable sambar and poori with effortless balance, while the Rajdani thali lays out a colourful spread of curries and breads before signing off with something sweet. Between sips of rasam and spoonfuls of dal, each plate reads like a well-thumbed recipe book brought to life.

Chef’s signature creations turn up the tempo with paneer 65 and gobi Manchurian, while Bombay Chowpati classics like pani puri and bhel puri add a joyful hit of street-side nostalgia.

Warm, welcoming and health-conscious, Sagar Harrow has become a local favourite for those craving tradition without fuss. Gather the family, bring an appetite, and let the spice road lead you to your next delicious detour. Reserve a table and make a meal of it.
