Shack-Fuyu

Set in the heart of Soho, Shack-Fuyu channels the swagger of a Tokyo diner through a distinctly London lens. Part of the acclaimed Bone Daddies group, it began life as a seasonal pop-up and now occupies a space that once flipped pizzas, trading slices for Japanese-inspired comfort cooking.

The menu nods to modern izakaya culture and is built for sharing and lively conversation. Savour dishes like Korean fried wings with a spicy-sour glaze, miso aubergine that hums with depth, prawn toast reimagined as okonomiyaki, and beef picanha brightened with wasabi chimichurri.

The theatre continues with sukiyaki wagyu beef served on a hot stone and a pillowy katsu sando, before the cult kinako french toast with matcha soft serve takes centre stage. Dessert keeps it simple yet memorable, with the French toast powdered with kinako, roasted soybean flour, and paired with matcha soft serve.

Dark wood, neon flashes and an open kitchen give the space a lively thrum from lunch through late night. Whether stopping by for small plates or settling in for a full feast, Shack-Fuyu delivers high tempo, striking flavours, and a dining experience to savour.
