Laxsa Soho is a vibrant Malaysian restaurant and bar located in the heart of London on Old Compton Street. Known for bringing authentic Malaysian flavours to the West End, Laxsa offers a relaxed yet energetic dining experience inspired by traditional recipes from Kebun Teh in Johor, Malaysia. The space combines modern design with nostalgic Malaysian touches, creating a warm and lively atmosphere for lunch, dinner or casual gatherings.
The menu celebrates classic Malaysian comfort food, with laksa at its heart. Signature bowls include the traditional chicken and prawn laksa with rich coconut broth, king prawn laksa, lobster laksa, and The Luxsa, a generous combination of vegetables, chicken, prawns and lobster. Each bowl is deeply aromatic and packed with layered spices.
Other highlights include nasi lemak, Malaysia’s national dish of fragrant coconut rice served with anchovies, peanuts, cucumber and egg, alongside options such as chicken curry, lemongrass chicken or lobster. Hainanese chicken rice is another favourite, featuring tender poached chicken, fragrant rice and homemade sauces. Stir fried classics like nasi goreng kampung, mee goreng and char kuay teow showcase bold wok flavours with seafood, chilli and egg.
Small plates include roti canai with curry dip, chicken satay with peanut sauce, Malaysian fried chicken, spring rolls and vegetable gyoza. Fresh salads such as papaya salad and gado gado provide lighter options to balance the richer dishes.
Alongside the food, Laxsa Soho offers a full bar with cocktails inspired by Southeast Asian flavours, making it a go to destination for both dining and drinks in central London.
