In the heart of Liverpool City Centre’s historic Cavern Quarter, Pierre Kitchen brings a French-Mediterranean bistro sensibility to a converted warehouse.

Warm wooden floors and exposed brick set a cosy, rustic scene, while relaxed table service and friendly faces ensure the mood remains easygoing and unpretentious.

The menu roams the sun-soaked shores confidently: think olive miste to nibble, tzatziki scooped up with tortilla chips, and wild mushrooms sautéed in garlic. There's a nod to the eastern Mediterranean featuring borek feta and spinach in crisp pastry, kissed with honey and sweet chilli, alongside Spanish-leaning gambas al ajello and breaded calamari.

Heartier plates keep things generous. Bowls of beef bourguignon stew with mash speak to its French roots, while a fajita sizzler arrives theatrically, all peppers and onions. From the grill, marinated chicken shish and charred lamb chops, served with a simple salad, round out the comfort.

It's the kind of place that welcomes both impromptu lunches and celebratory nights, inviting diners to linger and savour.
