Perched on the second floor of Liverpool’s Ferry Terminal, Matou Pan Asian Restaurant serves river views as dazzling as its dishes.

Floor‑to‑ceiling outlooks sweep across the Mersey to the Liver Birds and the grand facades of the Pier Head, setting a cinematic backdrop from sunny lunches to shimmering sunsets. Outside, an expansive terrace caters for al‑fresco moments with spectacular panoramas, all to delicately engineered music and an easy, flowing space.

Steered by an innovative pan‑Asian spirit, the kitchen weaves flavours from Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore, and Japan. Crisp spring rolls and chicken satay set the tone for a flavourful start, accompanied by a tom yum seafood soup humming with lemongrass and heat.

For the main course, aromatic panang curry warms with depth, pad Thai and Singapore vermicelli bring bright, wok‑fired lift, while nasi goreng delivers comfort alongside the rich gloss of salmon teriyaki.

Whether gathering inside or out, a table by the window offers the perfect vantage point to watch the waterfront sparkle while the culinary magic does the talking. Come for the view, stay for the voyage!
