Set at Stanton Lakes in Stoney Stanton, Lakeside Bar & Bistro brings a breezy Mediterranean spirit to the water’s edge.

The mood is relaxed and sociable, perfectly attuned to long lunches and unhurried suppers by the lake. Whether sharing plates with friends or settling in for a leisurely meal, it is a place where time seems to slow and conversation flows.

The kitchen leans into sun-drenched flavours and convivial grazing: think rustic bread dipped in olive oil and balsamic, bowls of Mediterranean green olives, and bruschetta that ranges from tomato and basil with a glossy glaze to creamy garlic mushroom lifted by a whisper of truffle.

Small plates segue into heartier comforts with ease. There is the homely warmth of aubergine parmigiana, the fresh brightness of basil pesto rigatoni, and the simple pleasure of a margherita pizza. Spanish accents chime through mini chorizo finished with honey and Iberico ham croquetas with silken béchamel and aioli, while a nod to French shores arrives with mussels steamed in white wine, garlic and herbs.

Book a table, raise a fork to the good life, and let the ripples of flavour do the talking.
