Laughing Buddha brings the comforting rhythms of classic Chinese cookery to Loughborough. Aromas rise from steaming bowls and the gentle hiss of hot plates announces dishes with theatre, setting a lively, convivial tone. It's the kind of place where warmth comes as much from the kitchen as it does from the welcome, and where familiar favourites are treated with care.

To begin, stalwarts such as hot and sour soup and crab meat and sweetcorn soup set the tone with richness and restorative depth. Crispy aromatic duck steals the show, while spring rolls add that irresistible crunch. The cooking leans into balance and contrast - savoury against sweet, gentle heat against soothing textures.

From the griddle, sizzling beef and king prawn creations turn heads, while black pepper sauce brings punch to tender cuts. Duck appears with ginger and spring onions or sweet ginger and pineapple - king prawn with cashew nuts adds a satisfying nutty lift. For those who crave comfort, chicken curry or king prawn curry rounds things off with a mellow, spiced embrace.

Gather your favourites, bring an appetite, and let Laughing Buddha do the rest. Book in, tuck in, and leave with a grin!
