Set in Glasgow’s East End, just across from the Barrowlands Ballroom and five minutes from the city centre, Van Winkle channels the spirit of Kentucky barbecue with a Glasgow grin. The mood is laid-back and lively, made for casual catch-ups and unrushed weekends, with a newly opened beer garden that brings a slice of sunny backyard barbecue to the city.

In the kitchen, it is all about bold, satisfying flavour. Think buttermilk chicken tenders served with a lick of buffalo heat, Nashville hot tenders cooled by house ranch, and burgers built on 100% Scottish beef. Ribs arrive with all the trimmings, from house fries and purple slaw to mac n cheese and onion rings, while loaded fries nod to local tastes with haggis and chippy curry sauce. For the sweet-toothed, there is the comfort of a snowball or a hot chocolate fudge cake, and Sundays bring a hearty roast to the table.

Behind the bar, a host of bourbon drinks leads the way alongside beers, cocktails and wines. The welcome stretches to both two-legged and four-legged guests, and the space suits everything from birthday to corporate gatherings.

Rally your crew, claim a sunny spot or a cosy corner, and let the good times roll—Glasgow-style.
