Cuisine: A La Carte, Family, Italian
Price Point: Mains from £15-£35

This bustling, family-run restaurant has been Bonnington’s go-to for delicious Italian food and authentic vibes for nearly 40 years.

Opened by Alberto Crolla in 1970, it is now run by his grandson, Alberto Jr and there’s something about the family atmosphere that just can’t be beaten. Cosy booths and warm lighting all add to a relaxed ambience that makes it a favourite with local and visitors alike.

Of course, no restaurant can enjoy this sort of longevity without expert chefs and the finest seasonal ingredients, and Vittoria On The Walk has both in spades. Their menus offer a genuine taste of the Motherland.

Start with a mouthwatering antipasti spread, before moving onto homemade pastas, stonebaked pizza or a selection of mains that includes everything from steak to fresh seafood. We think the chef’s special penne with chicken and smoked salmon in creamy tomato sauce is sensational.

Of course, no Italian worth its salt would have anything other than an excellent wine cellar. Refresh yourself with a selection of both famous names and lesser known gems, all personally selected by the Vittoria team on trips to Italy.

Quality food served by personable staff in a restaurant that is imbued with family history… it’s a winning recipe!

We both had steaks and they were cooked perfectly. The whole meal was great.

Vittoria’s was absolutely incredible. They were VERY accommodating as we accidentally booked the wrong day on First Table (Traveller’s Brain.) We realized our mistake as Francesco was looking up our reservation at the host stand. He still honored our discount and had us a table within 5 minutes.

The food was impeccable. As a starter we ordered the pesto, mozzarella focaccia bread. Absolutely delicious. The steaks were perfectly cooked and the wine was beautiful. We even splurged and had an incredible dessert. Best meal we’ve had in Scotland by far.

Ellena was a very attentive, quick and outstanding server. She was from Sicily, and shared some of her experiences from living there. As my sister lived in Italy, they had a lot to talk about. It was a nice touch to our visit.

We had such an incredible experience at Vittoria’s. It was incredible food, but also wonderful people running the restaurant. Highly, highly recommend.

Easy on street parking. once in the restaurant, shown to our seat then a fast very friendly but not rushed service delivered the menus followed by the food which was delicious, hot and freshly cooked . So l have to say that I really enjoyed our experience of Vittoria's before heading up to the playhouse. I will definitely be going back for another meal soon.

Dining at Vittoria on the Walk was fabulous! Every starter and main we ordered was perfectly cooked (especially the surf and turf steak which was great value!) and delicious. The staff were friendly and attentive. Would come back again! Thanks
