dinner

Set in the heart of Roath, Lyalena Lounge brings a vibrant, culturally inspired spirit to Cardiff’s dining scene.

Touted as the city’s premier shisha lounge, it pairs a warm welcome with an emphasis on easy-going hospitality, inviting guests to linger, chat and savour the moment amid gently perfumed clouds. A wide range of flavoured shisha anchors the lounge’s leisurely rhythm, while five full HD 75-inch screens keep live sport front and centre without stealing the show.

The kitchen leans into Arabic influences, serving Halal comfort with a contemporary touch. A cold meze of hummus, tzatziki, motabal and baba ghanouj with olives and vne leaves are ready to be scooped up with bread. While the hot meze features favoury falafels and crispy cheese sambousek.

The mains equally celebrate freshness and texture. Think char-kissed chicken or lamb shish, or lamb kofta served with fries and salad. Lamb kuzi sits on a bed of fragrant spiced rice, which could be perfectly paired with grilled salmon. Round off the meal with lyalena crepe with your choice of toppings from Nutella to white chocolate sauce.

Gather the crew, claim a cosy corner and settle in for shisha, sport and shared plates. Book your spot and let the night drift deliciously by.
