Unrestrained, unsophisticated (and proud of it), Barrelhouse has made a name for itself with its signature Detroit pizzas, jovial atmosphere and lashings of great beer all around.

Taking on the form of a traditional pub with a few cheeky twists, Barrelhouse isn't your average watering hole. Yes, you might recognise the comfortable setup of a friendly bar, informal tables and the stage for all the hottest local talent, but did you expect that neon flamingo or the grassy beer garden out back? And as the night progresses, there's no telling where those live performances will take you!

If you're in the mood for comfort food, you're in the right place. Stealing the spotlight are their handmade Detroit pizzas. Deep-dish, squidgy and oozing with tomato sauce and cheese, take your pick of toppings like pepperoni with sweet fennel sausage, vegan kebab with hot sauce, crispy squid with capers and gherkins, or salt beef with Swiss cheese and sauerkraut. Forget traditional toppings; Barrelhouse is smashing down culinary barriers and making its own rules.

As we all know, our eyes are sometimes bigger than our stomachs, which is why you might fancy some corn ribs, Southern fried chicken or nachos on the side. You know, just in case you want that something extra. Then, wash it down with liquid gold from the barrel or a Campari and sidle over to the stage to check out what's occurring. Whatever your vibe, this eatery is always barrels of fun.
