Saltio began in 2021 when hospitality veterans Paul and Tom took on a rundown spot on Worthing Seafront and reimagined it as a vibrant homage to Mexico. What started as a bold revival has grown into one of the South’s standout Mexican eateries, grounded in authentic ingredients and time-honoured techniques.

The menu opens with simple pleasures, from totopos and guacamole to elote street corn, its charred kernels dressed with garlic aioli, feta and house seasoning. Bowls of salsa verde and salsa roja set the rhythm, coriander and tomatillo freshness playing against roasted tomato depth and jalapeño warmth.

Tacos come generously filled, from carne asada with chimichurri to slow-braised goat birria with cheddar and mozzarella.
