Indigo brings a modern relaxed spirit to Worthing’s dining scene, with an AA rosette for over 25 years!

The kitchen cooks with confidence and restraint, with seasonal menus that are both polished and welcoming. With the sea a near neighbour, there is a natural affinity with seafood, though the menu keeps everyone in mind with thoughtful options and a warm, inclusive approach.

Even the small beginnings have purpose: Spanish olives that burst with brine, crusty sourdough bread ready for balsamic and oil. Starters move from woodland depth to citrus-bright nostalgia, from wild mushroom and truffle paté with red onion marmalade to classic slow cooked duck à l’orange lifted with grand marnier and the comfort of confit potato mash.

For the main event, a chateaubriand arrives with quiet theatre, flanked by a grilled tomato, portobello mushroom, chips and green beans, the cognac and peppercorn sauce supplying suave richness. Elsewhere, a Sri Lankan fish curry brings coconut, ginger and chilli warmth, with yellow rice, pennywort salad and dhal completing a fragrant, coastal journey.

Puddings lean indulgent yet precise: a Belgian chocolate fondant with clotted cream infused with rose petal, or a fresh raspberry and basil leaf crème brûlée that cracks like first frost.
