A Japanese restaurant serving dishes taken from the head chef's family recipe book, Katsu Kitchen is fuelled by a sincere love for all things Katsu. If you think Katsu is just about the classic Katsu curry, think again! How many times do you think we can fit 'Katsu' into a sentence? Starting off as a street-food vendor, the restaurant has gone from strength to strength. It boasts a funky-fresh interior, inspired by traditional Japanese eating houses. Think long, communal benches, a mysterious bar shrouded in a neon haze and a lightness of touch when it comes to extra decor. Less is more!

So, what are the chef's recommendations? Well, nothing beats his mother's Pork Katsu Curry, but the menu offers the perfect opportunity to try something completely new; something you won't find anywhere else. First things first, their Katsu-inspired Maki rolls are do die for; take your pick from pork, chicken or ebi katsu rolls, or keep it classic with a selection of California rolls. Donburi is also given the Katsu (are you keeping count?) treatment and can be served with rice or noodles - it's up to you.

And then you have burgers, okonomiyaki, bento... the list goes on! Keep your Japanese tour alive and kicking with an Asahi beer or a bottle of Sake and make 'katsu' your new mantra.
