Six by Nico Belfast

In Belfast’s buzzing Cathedral Quarter, Six by Nico brings culinary storytelling with an ever-evolving tasting experience built around imagination, nostalgia and surprise.

There are currently two menus running (available on selected days). The Seoul six-course tasting menu opens with hand-cut noodles in clear consommé, lifted by dumplings and crisp wheat. Black pollock and shellfish in layered ssamjang sauce lead into Korean fried chicken glazed in sweet heat, lifted with mooli and spring onion for freshness. It finishes with a brioche doughnut filled with matcha and white chocolate crèmeux, finished with cherry for a clean, lingering lift.

The Chippie menu is a playful, nostalgic tasting experience reimagining classic takeaway favourites through a fine dining lens. It begins with chips and cheese reworked with aged parmesan espuma, followed by macaroni pie as a truffle croquette with caper and raisin, and a Scotch egg with mustard and herb sausage. Proper brown sauce and black pudding leads into scampi with brandade, dill and gribiche, before steak pie with rich ox ragu and burnt onion ketchup. Fish supper and smoked sausage continue the comfort-led journey with elevated, layered accompaniments.
