The views aren't the only thing that makes this dazzling restaurant stand out. Inside, antique bookcases and ancient busts tower above you whilst the tables play host to pristine, white tablecloths, polished silverware and sparkling glasses. Put simply, Oscar Wilde wouldn't be out of place here.

Get your British on from the word 'go' with their delicate charred mackerel or the moreish sweetbread nuggets. Then sample some of this fare isle's finest produce with a cod fillet that's bejewelled in pistachios and pesto, braised pig cheeks with a reviving apple salad or the colour sensation that is the beetroot dahl.

Add to that a crisp glass of wine and you have yourself a truly picturesque evening. And did we mention the views?
