Presenting their unique no-frills approach to Turkish cooking, Lokma's owners are proud to put their family recipes front and centre. And what more do you need when the food tastes this good?!

That's not to say that the interior of this restaurant isn't gorgeous. Indeed, Lokma has created a colourful escape from urban London with bold turquoises, forest greens and seductive reds, all chosen to lift spirits and inspire a new lease of life. Where one can sup a cocktail at the dramatic, backlit island bar before graduating to a plush sofa or group table in their varied dining halls, Lokma's sparkling personality is always a breath of fresh air.

Back to the food, though, and it's as authentic as they come. Turkish cuisine rests on the beauty of sharing, and nowhere is it more apparent than with the hot and cold mezze dishes to start. Here, you are encouraged to warm up your appetite with hand-rolled vine leaves, braised artichokes, lamb meatballs and fried calamari, all of which formed the family suppers Lokma's chefs want to share with you.

The mains invite you further into the Turkish family kitchen with grills, kebabs and skewers which are made from premium meat and marinated to perfection. If you simply can't decide, a mix of meat or seafood grill to share is a great option. And speaking of seafood, you can have your fill of fresh seabream, tiger prawns, salmon and sea bass, all done the Turkish way. As for vegetarians, Turkey delivers one again with dishes centred around smoked squidgy aubergine, falafel, rice and pulses. It really is the cuisine for all.
