Traversing oceans and crossing boundaries, Wild Rice brings together the best of east and west.

Nestled in the heart of bustling Soho, you can find Wild Rice above Mamasan. The authentic Thai décor will have you thinking you stepped straight into the Eastern paradise; the interior takes on the form of the traditional wooden buildings scattered around Bankok’s old town.

The menu focuses on small plates to share, showcasing traditional, vibrant Thai flavours, paired with seasonal British ingredients to create reinventions of classic dishes. Mix and match with the creamy lamb massaman, go fresh with their tuna green curry and cleanse the palate with a Thai avocado salad. Be it meat, seafood or vegetarian, each dish is expertly crafted and carries incredible depth of flavour.

Choose from a range of sparkling, white, red and rose wine to compliment the delicate balance of the small plates. And with sweet wines on offer too, there’s no better way to round off the meal.

I would recommend to everyone who loves good Thai food!

Heard about Wild Rice at Taste of London and thought I will try it!
Definitely a good decision, the food was so fresh and full of amazing flavours. Starters were just yum! The fried mushrooms were so crispy and the Thai soup full of intense flavours - so good we took one more for desert! ;-)
I went with my dad who is picky with his Tai food and like to eat a lot and it was great for him too. Portions were just right and staff extremely nice and helpful.
Oh and make sure you accompany it with some Sake

Pleasantly surprised by this cute restaurant with lovely interior, friendly service and authentic, delicious Thai food.

We ordered: tofu nuggets, enoki salad, lamb massaman curry, tin baked prawns, coconut rice. Everything was nice.

I was especially in love with the tofu nuggets and the tin baked prawns - both had amazing seasoning! My partner was most impressed by the massaman curry, which was luxuriously tender and packed full of flavour.

I think it is probably one of the best Thai restaurants we have visited in London. A must-try if you are into Thai food!

We were the first people there and it was nice to have the cosy spot to ourselves. Loved the simplistic but cheerfully colourful wooden crates decorated with vines on the walls. The food was brilliant. Crispy french beans with an unusual spice mix, tin pot juicy prawns with vermicelli, super soft tofu in a spicy sauce, yummy coconut rice, baby aubergine curry, ice cream with peanut sauce n coconut....everything was spot on... fresh, tasty, not overpowering in flavour n not bland. Portions are on the smaller side. The girls serving were very sweet n attentive. The food came without delays. Worked well going there for an early dinner as the place is quite small n can feel a lil cramped when in full capacity.

Absolutely enjoyable evening at a cosy place with friendly team. Highly recommend Pad Thai WoonSen with prawns - bouncy bean vermicelli complemented by tamarind and fresh ground peanuts. Also enjoyed the Kao Sui chicken curry - topped with crispy noodles soaking up all the flavour and coconut fragrance. And of course, Thai meal is never complete without some Tom yam soup!

The food was really really good. The calamari was fresh and spicy and not heavy at all, the sea bream was perfect with the most lovely sauce, other dishes were great, only dissapointment t was the chicken skewer, I wouldn’t get that if I went again. Staff lovely, music great and was buzzy even at 5! A real treat xx

Creative Thai food, we especially liked the Tom yum soup (delightful!), Pad Thai (packed with veg, interestingly made with glass noodles rather than rice noodles), & crispy whole fish with grilled eggplant and fried enoki mushrooms. Good for date night!

We had dinner at 6pm, the restaurant was just starting to get a little busy but staff was very friendly and helpful with explaining the menu! would definitely come back again, loved the contemporary variations of classic thai dishes.

Good location and food are fairly priced and matches the portion of the food. We had Tom yum soup, duck curry and rice. We left the restaurant happy. Highly recommended.

Excellent Thai food! Delicious pad Thai and lamb curry, very tasty and actually not that small. Service was ok, not very attentive.
Would definitely recommend!

Food and flavours were lovely. We arrived 20 minutes early and asked if we could go for a drink and the waitress kindly let us sit down early for food and drinks. We ordered 5 dishes between 2 of us and they were delicious! Would definitely recommend :)

Way overpriced. Small portions, average service, some of our food didn’t even come out so cancelled it last minute, food wasn’t that good either, like it was frozen and heated up.

We had a lovely meal on a Tuesday evening, the restaurant is air-conditioned which was a godsend because of the heat, the service was wonderful and the food delicious!

Good experience at Wild Rice. Good atmosphere. Friendly and attentive service. Food was generally tasty. The only let down was that some dishes were only luke warm by the time they arrive at our table.

The service was absolutely fantastic. The food was good.

Food overall was tasty however was overly salted, all of my party had this opinion. Portion sizes were acceptable. The banana, peanut butter ice cream dessert was disappointing.

Good service, the waitress was efficient and friendly

Good guidance on the menu by the lovely wait staff. Traditional dishes as well as thai inspired items kept meal interesting. Easy to share with a small group and catered for the vegetarians in our group. Quirky cocktails were also fun.

Delicious food!

We had a lovely time at Wild Rice - for small plates we thought the portion sizes were good and there was a real interesting mix of flavours. The only downside was that there were at least 4-5 dishes (including their namesake wild rice dish) which were unavailable which seemed a shame given that we were one of the first customers of the evening!

The food was delicious but the overall experience was slow and awkward.

We had a wonderful evening at Wild Rice. My primary recommendation is to arrive a little early. The first table booking is 6pm, but they have a 2for1 Cocktails Happy Hour that ends at 6pm, so make sure you arrive 15 minutes early and get your drinks order in!! We missed out, unfortunately, but will not next time! As for the food, they let you know immediately that the dishes should be considered more like Thai Tapas than a meal portion. Thus, we ordered 5 dishes between the two of us - We ordered; Crunchy Pork Belly (so delicious, especially when dipped in the sauce from the next dish), Japanese Aubergine (soft and tasty!), Massaman curry (always a winner, did not disappoint), Chargrilled Squid (be warned, this was incredibly spicy!! Delicious, but set my tongue on fire - and I have a decent threshold), Special fried rice (also with a bit of spice, but much more manageable, this went very well with all the dishes).
The staff were very helpful and attentive. The decor pleasant. The location perfect!

Tasty Thai food but more like a fusion rather than authentic Thai one, the portion is relatively smaller compared to what I expected. You will need 2-3 dishes per person if you are quite hungry, will go back again though.

- dined at Wild Rice on

The food was delicious! Ordered the salmon, massaman curry and pork belly. The reason for a 4 star rather than 5 star for food, is simply because the pork belly lacked of flavour. Service was great. I would go back.

The food was really tasty and decent portions. I would definitely recommend and return.

Service was great and had a very attentive waiter. Food was good but expect a twist on some of your usual dishes like pad thai.

I enjoyed the dinner at Wild Rice. We shared fried calamari, Pad Thai (was very tasty) and lamb curry (very tender and rich). Great food! Service was attentive, friendly and professional. Would highly recommend!

Thai restaurant with a slight twist in flavours. Loved their pad ped dish which was spicy and bursting with flavours! Although their Thai calamari were a disappointment, the vermicelli and prawn pot were a welcome variety. Don't forget to try the chilli gin.

Decent Tom Yum with overfrozen salmon in it. Cevice was also made from overfrozen fish.
Main course was alright, but you can find a better Thai elsewhere.

Delicious food and great service! Will go back in a heartbeat!

Food was great. I was hit by the local taste which I found it very impressive. 'Goi Pla' (Seabass Ceviche) and 'Pad Thai' are really good. I think this is one of the best Pad thai I have had in the UK so far. Services were above an average.

We had such a lovely evening at Wild Rice! The staff we're exceptionally friendly and attentive, and even though there was a mix-up with our table to begin with, we were sent to the downstairs bar to wait and were well looked after there. The food was incredible, would recommend the panang pork - delicious! We will be back :)
