Robata is Japanese grilled charcoal cooking and funnily enough, it's what this restaurant does best.
Nestled in the heart of colourful Soho, it's understated and intimate with group tables that come with sheer partitions, creating a feeling of privacy. If your dining partner isn't holding your attention, the grill is on full display and whipping up a storm.
You can't come to a place like this and not try the Robata offerings. Order a variety of skewers to mix and match; there's everything from chicken, pork belly, beef fillet and scallops and all come with their own bespoke sauce. If that doesn't fill you up, graduate to the Robata's large plates like the Margret duck breast and Atlantic cod. For vegetarians, there's a broccoli steak (that's a first) and a variety of vegetable skewers.
It wouldn't be a complete Japanese experience without some melt-in-the-mouth sushi! Sashimi and California rolls are all ready to roll as well as pork and kimchi gyoza. Don't forget the Sake!
