Mr Fish is Queens Park's local seafood-and-more spot - the kind of place you can walk into without booking weeks ahead, whether it's a quick bite or the whole family taking over a table. Generous portions and fair prices are the point: this isn't fine dining seafood, it's proper food done well, at a price that means you can come back next week too.

Kids are well looked after too, with high chairs on hand and a children's menu (£8.75) of chicken nuggets, cod fillet fingers or a chicken drumstick, served with chips and a drink — plus a £1 ice cream cone to finish. There's a mix of booth and regular seating, so you can settle in for a proper sit-down or grab a table for a quicker visit.

Small plates cover a lot of ground - crispy whitebait, sautéed king prawns, and the Mr Fish Signature Buffalo Wings for anyone after something other than fish. Sides are the classic pub-casual line-up: chips, sweet potato fries, loaded chips, and a fresh mixed salad — built for sharing across the table, not fussing over.

Drinks keep the same easy, no-pretension approach: a cold Peroni or London Pride, a glass of Pinot Grigio or Hardy's VR Chardonnay, and Prosecco or Paul Langier Brut Champagne if you're celebrating something. Softs and hot drinks round it out, so it works whether you're in for twenty minutes or staying all evening.

Bring the kids, bring the neighbours, bring a big group - Mr Fish is built for regulars, not just visitors.
