Tucked beside Queen's Park in North West London, Alice House Queens Park pairs a cosy, friendly welcome with the kind of all-day rhythm locals love. From all-day brunches and Sunday roasts to after-dark gatherings, it moves seamlessly from daylight to dusk, fuelled by British craft beers and seasonal cocktails.

The kitchen leans into comforting British flavours with a few sunny detours. Daytimes bring grazeable small plates - think padrón peppers and creamy burrata - alongside a grilled cheese sourdough toastie, smoked salmon and a British beef burger that does exactly what it should. Sandwich lovers will be pleased to find a classic club in the mix, with skin-on fries or summer greens and beans on the side.

As evening settles, the tempo lifts. Snacks such as BBQ roasted corn and smoked almonds give way to plates of fried chicken, before hearty mains like garlic butter chicken schnitzel or a ribeye steak take centre stage, with house potatoes close at hand.

Behind the bar, homemade hibiscus lemonade rubs shoulders with a blood orange spritz, a grapefruit spritz and a classic Negroni, poured for quiz nights, jazz sessions and DJ sets alike. Note it is 21-plus after 9pm on Fridays and Saturdays. Gather friends, pick your moment, and let Queen's Park's neighbourhood charmer do the rest — come hungry, leave happy.
