With its bare brick walls, exposed pipes and bearded clientele, this gem of a restaurant on Greek Street appears to fit the Soho mould to a tee. However, when it comes to the food, owner Jan Lee has ripped up the rulebook and invented his own eclectic fusion of flavours.

The menu is an ode to East Asia, although its creator seems to have stopped off in Mexico and America’s Deep South along the way. The ribs are smothered in sticky miso glaze with an addictive umami kick, while Korean fried chicken wings arrive alongside a soy, grape and rosemary dipping sauce.

Pull up a seat at the bar if innovative cocktails alongside pillowy bao bursting with shredded pork belly sounds like your thing (and trust us, they should be), or duck in on your way to the West End for a punchy pre-theatre menu that will leave you with change from £20.
