In Soho, Alta London sets a modern, pintxos-leaning rhythm, where Iberian accents meet British touches and bright, global notes. It is a place for appetite-led adventure, with bold flavours, clean finishes and a confident sense of fun.

A meal might open simply with bread and butter, or a soft sobrasada brioche laced with goats cheese and burnt honey. Then the tide turns briny and fresh: a Maldon oyster lifted by tomato water and shiso, and tuna ceviche snapping over a sesame cracker. The cooking favours clarity and contrast, letting each bite land with purpose.

Heat follows in lively waves: Padrón peppers cooled by mint and sour cream with a flicker of pickled chilli, and fried squid dusted in herb salt beside citrus aioli. One-bite pintxos bring a punch, from corn-fed chicken with fermented chilli and chicken crumb to A4 wagyu touched with Marmite, honey and Espelette.

Those settling in can turn to onglet steak with chimichurri or aged lamb cutlets with salsa verde, flanked by a rocket, basil and tomato salad or roasted corn with chorizo, chili oil and coriander crumb. Designed for grazing and good company, Alta London invites sharing and savouring. Take a seat, order a spread, and let the small plates do the talking.
