dinner

In the heart of Fitzrovia, Caravan Fitzrovia sets an all-day rhythm in the former BBC Radio 1 headquarters.

Its warehouse-style rooms are bright, spacious, and threaded with cosy corners. The crowd skews local and professional, the service is easy-going, and the atmosphere's lively without losing its poise.

The menu's well-travelled, with influences from Asia and Europe expressed in clean, confident flavours. Garam masala sesame labneh with spiced chickpeas nods eastward, while burrata and chargrilled courgette bring a warm softness. Larger plates range from a chargrilled lamb barnsley chop to roasted cod lifted by sweet potato and pickled ginger.

Sourdough pizzas, grains and bowls, and nibbles like Marcona almonds or prawn crackers keep options wide. To close, tiramisu with a signature caravan espresso caramel or a slice of flourless chocolate cake hits a soothing note.

From outdoor seating to semi-private spaces and the characterful Record Room for private dining, there's a spot for every occasion. Settle in and savour the ride, as the kitchen does the travelling!
