Paro Indian is a culinary haven for any lovers of Calcutta cuisine, a stone's throw from the bustling centre of Covent Garden. With a warm and brightly-coloured interior, Paro is reminiscent of the street kitchens found in the very heart of the city. You can expect a smiling team ready to guide you through a menu lovingly crafted to share with friends.

Paro’s small plates are the perfect way to start, and there are a plethora to choose from. Bite-sized plates of honeyed mango chickpeas with their sweet and tangy sauce are a must, and the bang bang chicken with its mild spice that's just enough heat to wake up your taste buds is a great option for meat-eaters. Vegans and vegetarians are well catered for with the potato chops, made with fluffy mashed potato and a blend of mild spices and mustard seeds. Other highlights on this menu include the juicy prawn pur and the crispy, crunchy onion bhajis.

If you fancy something more substantial, their meat, game and poultry section includes the irresistible macher jhol. This is a Bengali fish curry with a mustard-based gravy, served with rice or bread. For something special, you can’t go past the tandoori lobster, cooked to juicy tender perfection and infused with a blend of aromatic spices. There’s even a dedicated menu for the little ones, so the whole family can enjoy a night out together.

There’s no better way to experience the vast array of flavours that Calcutta has to offer than with a trip to Paro Indian. So, gather your friends, family or colleagues and get ready to enjoy a delicious slice of India in the convivial heart of Covent Garden.
