In Bishopbriggs, Glasgow, I Chai Restaurant steers a confident course through East and Southeast Asian flavours.

Aromatic broths set the tone, from delicate prawn wonton soup to comforting chicken noodle soup, while baskets of dim sum signal a taste for craftsmanship and calm precision.

The kitchen favours variety and conviviality. Assorted dim sum mingles with meat-free pleasures such as crispy enoki mushroom and pan-fried vegetable dumplings, while the Pim Poon Platter gathers Peking ribs, duck spring roll, chicken satay skewers, salt and chilli wing, and prawn on toast into one generous spread.

Mains range from Japanese katsu chicken curry to roasted char siu pork glazed in honey and soy, with plant-led choices like vegan ma po tofu and sweet and spicy honey tofu. Heartier appetites find comfort in special mixed curry or wok-fired dishes such as char siu pork with Japanese noodle in XO sauce and Singapore rice noodle. Greens arrive glossy, from pak choy with garlic and oyster sauce to seasonal mixed vegetables.

The experience is relaxed and shareable - a place where plates land in the centre and conversation does the rest. Settle in, follow your cravings across the map, and let I Chai do the guiding - reserve your spot, bring good company, and take your taste buds for a wee spin!
